Summer Camps

We currently offer two summer camp programs that operate out of Cardiff Lake in Sturgeon County, just 15 minutes north of St. Albert!

  • The Rainbow Paddle program (ages 8-12) is a week-long summer camp filled with fun and adventure where kids will explore the lake with qualified instructors, learning about four main aspects of recreational paddling sports: safety, technique, sports culture, and appreciation of the environment.

  • The Intro to Sprint Paddling program (ages 10-14) is a 2-week camp where kids will develop skills and confidence in competitive flat water canoeing and kayaking. Kids will paddle daily, building relationships with each other and with the aquatic environment. Participants will be introduced to sprint paddling, dragon boat, war canoe, and many fun off-water games and activities. Paddlers will also have opportunities to participate in regattas to demonstrate their skills through community-oriented competitions!

We keep low coach:athlete ratios to ensure all participants enjoy an optimal summer camp experience. All canoes, kayaks, paddles and PFDs will be supplied for use during camp hours. Campers are required to wear a life jacket at all times while on the water. Campers must be 9 years old during the camp session (an exception can be made only for siblings if one of them is 8 and the other is older). No paddling experience is required. Participants must have a minimum swimming ability.
